Someone wanted some info on IND-X Records... so here's the bit I have to
offer:
Ind-x was (is?) a Detroit-area based label run by Zach Roberts. I don't
think too much was ever put out on the label. I've got one record on IND-X
by the Electric Company, which Zach was a part of.

That was the Shifty Disco EP, I think?? I don't think it's that rare -
elusive maybe. There is a playful track on there called The Sun.
DJ Hell named the label after a joke Jeff made about the DJ lifestyle - it's
a cute story he's recounted in interviews - and he created an aesthetic
around that.
I was at the record store yesterday and stumbled up International Deejay
Gigalo's #02. This was produced by Jeff Mills in 95 and has a matrix code
of GIGALO 02. It is a house record. I had heard that he put a house
record out and that he also did a remix session and those were house tracks.

I got a review copy something like 3 months ago, so it's nice that
it's finally being distributed. In a perfect world, Tintonton will
completely blow up as a result.
I want the vinyl -- there are some definite 'rock the joint' tracks on
this.
