I think its Steve Silk Hurleys answer to "Love Can't Turn Around" by
Farley.
Some type of biting going on and stuff, one of those "hey you ripped me
off" answers that Chicago was famous for in the '80s.

Shocking. I'll bet they never dreamed the damn thing would get a lease of

the list will be able to give you the name before I get to look at it!

At this point I can ask about that 'drum-track' which Derrick May plays,
starts off slow, has lots of stops and shouting and progressively gets
faster and faster till it's going at an insane tempo and explodes only
to start again ...

And don´t forget the most tribal / batucada I have ever heard...
this record is totally mad... it won´t get more batucada than this!
bob azzam - "batucada por favor" from 1960.
I actually still can´t believe that this was produced in 1960
Do you have Chris Finke's Mobile..need it urgently please
Thanks

How about Kim Bilir's 'Feelin?'
Not particulary Latin in a melodic sense, but to my ear it has that
really dense syncopated percussion and whistles sound like those
massive drum bands from South America (Brazil perhaps?)
Damn fine record anyhow

Not forgetting Andrew McLauchlan's "Love
Not forgetting Andrew McLauchlan's "Love Story" which came out in 1999 and
has been caned by every DJ since The trouble, Mills aside, is that IMO
a lot of the latin-influenced techno that came out after that just
concentrated on getting some latino-style rhythms and sample presets and
then pro
looks like some company from Switzerland bought the domain-name after the
record expired.

I was kind of expecting theo parrish related info
what's that all about?
Dan
*Well, you could start with Casa - Purpose Maker - AX-011. But really a lot
of Mills material around that time had a Latin feel. For less stylized
Latin-like techno, check out the Sonido Denso label of Spain - "So Dens" -
which doesn't appear to have its own website.

Speaking of good records,
Haven't heard anyone mention Thomas Brinkman's Max Ernst 11 yet, the track
with the Kraftwerk sample is pretty sweet.
Also there are some tracks from the Force Trax "Digital Disco" compilation
that are really doing it for me right now.
