o!
..just listened and was surprised to discover it's an obvious remix of Rhythim
is Rhythim Icon (has the same strings, hard to miss those!)...and it's pretty
dope imo!
I got passed an mp3, I glanced at discogs and it doesn't look like it's out
yet? What's the deal?

Kenny Larkin samples a line from movie in the Good God track on the
FunkFaker: Music saves My Soul album. What movie is it from?
Wow I actually have time to day to investigate something that came from the
list instead of just marking for attention for a
later-that-never-comes
So
Just had a listen and I think that's a bit unfair (or maybe giving it too much
praise!). It's not Icon. It just uses those strings
It's not your cap Fred, it's because you're a known troublemaker.

What is the Esko Lounge anyway? Is that the place

Not true old chap - direct flights on Expedia at the moment for £380.

Problem is Greg, a flight (alone) is now the equivalent of around

Is this still considered reasonable?

hey JT...
Interesting tune but it's not really a remix. Is it even a sample?
(same machine made the strings praps)
I quite like it though, apart from that hi hat sound that sounds
really sharp in my right ear (possibly my problem that tho).
So, Ame on the Icon tip and Christian Prommer

hmm well ok then. exact same strings, and i hear more than a little influence
in the percussion too, and the whole thing sounds like carl craig doing his
krauty thing done by krauts, so
people on Analogue Heaven are all over JMJ.
you'd think that after 12 years of hearing people rave about him, that I'd
have given a single listen to anything he's made...

you? purposely avoiding listening to music that might be good for 12
years? NEVER.
All the JMJ I ever heard sounded cheesy to me, but maybe I missed
something that wasn't. Why is he considered so good by some?

he has his moments, just like tomita and tangerine dream and all those
other prog/ambient types from the 70s and 80s.
i'm not really familiar with his work. our music teacher was a big fan
of oxygene many, many years ago... maybe that's why i never listened
to his stuff. he surely has his moments, i recently came across a few
tracks which suprised me (can't name them, tho...), as i thought he was
cheesy,
