I couldn't possibly disagree with this more.
His most recent Parabolas (Kompakt) from last year was pretty much my
favorite record of last year.
I get the Plaid comparisons but I see them as just influences and his stuff
is far, far more interesting to me than whatever Plaid are doing
patrice scott's sistrum label is one that i've not paid too much
attention to, to my own cost. i am trying to remedy that now. it's my
flavour of the month at the moment, along with emphasis records (thank
you, bandcamp). any other labels like this that i should be keeping an
eye on - what about
but you are probably less perfect than
Juan. Sorry.
i think you meant less talented? it sounds like you are confusing him
with moses or whoeverhe is not an especially talented
dj...everybody knows that...and juan isn't either..
jb was rightthe mix is garbage...tepid generic clubbiness
All im saying is don't sleep on Juan the DJ. He killed it last

You had me until you said digital! ;)
I am not sure which of these are available digitally but you should check out
(if you haven't already) the first Underground Anthems record on Sistrum. I
haven't heard everything on that label but it is my favorite so far. The new
one on Emphasis sounds
Aiden, John,

favourite labels in the last couple of years and now Im back in to vinyl im
trying to get all the good stuff. Im also a big
Greetings people, I'm very happy to hear people talking about these labels.
I will second the recommendations Quintessentials, Sushitech, Uzuri,
Third Ear, and all the stuff associated with Qu, Fred-P, Jus Ed, and
Levon Vincent (Underground Quality, but also Soul People Music, and
Strength Music
Definatley - I would add Tevo Howard to the list of Chicagoans. He doesn't seem

Thanks for the link Jacob, good read. I liked the bit about sharing 1200's :)
Ive heard him play a couple of times and the second time was especially good
for Bleep 43 in London.A very deep set infused with subtle acid lines
throughout and one of my favourite sets in recent times.

Takes me back to Digital Soul. Thanks for the tip Aidan.
Quoting Aidan O'Doherty aidan.b.odohe...@gmail.com:
might be worth downloading for some - detroit styles, from mullingar,
westmeath.

seen him over the past 10 years he's played some great tracks. Most
recently in Sydney (last year at the Marrickville bowling club) he
even mixed pretty damn well as
no probs - mr carr deserves some recognition. whatever happened to
digital soul, is stewart still on the list? i think i still have all
the releases from that label, somewhere. remember a killer duplex
remix on one of 12s.
