keeping the Ferndale
location, instead of the Roseville. Sad, but not surprising.

If he thinks they could survive in a smaller spot, then why close the
store completely instead of trimming some merchandise and moving to a
smaller space?
This is very sad news indeed :((

Sad. On my way to work on National Public Radio:
Record Time in Ferndale, Michigan will close. Inventory will be moved to

Never been there but I've heard it's good. Thought you might like to
hear, if you haven't already.

re thisLast week the headlines were all about Steve Jobs
dictating to the record industry what their new business model
will be.
is there a good place to read about that on the internet you'd recommend?

The long and short of it is that the major labels want to start raising
prices on some tracks on the iTunes Music Store

No knock to Huck at all - but RT has more than one person on staff that knows

When the Tower Records here in Birmingham, MI closed it's doors, I
snagged several sealed copies of various Drexciya releases along with a
bunch of Tresor records. This was after Stinson died, so you can imagine
my excitement in being able to find extra copies to stow away at an
unbeatable price.

Who was comparing Record Time to Tower?! That's right. NO ONE.
it's a terrible insult to the really good people that still work
there, and have been amazing music buyers for the
company for many years to compare Record Time to Tower Records.

on a more serious note, let me just say this now: i'll never deejay with a

That's a good note from Mike Himes. The fact remains
that Huck is out of a job, although he probably wouldn't
have liked standing behind a cash register or restocking
the main floor all day.
What Himes says about the changing nature of the business

Thanks.
