Tell us
This might be old news, however I was up at my mum's house the other day and
happened upon a Ministry of Sound compilation that my mum listens to in the
car [okay my parents arent particulalry underground/313 !] anyways...I had a
look at the tracklisting at to my horror noticed that one of the
Jaguar was also licensed to Azuli for a Miami Music Conference mix CD in
2000 along with a lot of cheesy house and garage tracks. Sell.

A lot of DJ's play Jaguar around the world, from techno to house to trance
to whatever. I don't see your problem, so some trance DJ is playing a track
you like? So people who like trance can listen to UR? It's not a sell out at
all IMHO, if it was a sell out they should at least make trance music

UR does not seem to condone buying their tunes from HMV/Virgin etc as often
mentioned on record sleeves etc etc so it seems strange

it's also on one lil louis' mix cd (Mix the Vibe: Lil Louis - 27
years in the mix 1974 - 2001, nitegrooves/king street kcd-223) with
classics like is it
Besides, Mad Mike decided that 430 west should do the distribution.
Well officially Jaguar is no longer in the UR catalog, it is a 430 West
record now :) To me there is a big difference between a track on a mix album
and a official/full release on major label. Can't remember what's on the
sleeves but i think it is just your personal view on things, to me this is
), Missy Elliott and
Donna Summer.

Why is this a Shocker? The reason jaguar was so popular is that everyone
played it despite of their genre' of choice. I've heard it on many weird
obscure mixes, including trance and Progressive house mixes. The track , in
my opinion
independent and underground and then
licensing the track to major labels.

The problem here is everyone here is making assumptions about what UR did.
No
one here knows anything about what happened to that track and what it's
popularity caused.
Mike Banks relinquished that record when it became major. At first it was
cool
but then things just
it
might have interfered with UR's underground status? Now that IS underground.
