ethyl alcohol but as this isn't exactly easy to get (unless you are a doctor or something) i use anti static monitor cleaning spray (it has some sort of solvent that doesn't wreck records plus the anti static means they don't re-attract dust) or i guess you could buy some record cleaning

rubbing alcohol works well, especially on mold or water damaged records. windex is a less abrasive way of getting rid of easier to clean stuff: finger prints, grease etc. i even knew someone who swore by his air freshener spray! record cleaning liquid works well, but is relatively expensive and
