Re: (313) Some Hot Tracks
I have to admit, I've gone a little bit rustic in the last few weeks
and have been sucked back into the world of Every Man And Woman Is A
Star by Ultramarine, sleazing it up with I Want You by Marvin Gaye
and gazing at my shoes to the sounds of Loveless by My Bloody
Valentine... I even did an

my records are packed away, as is my deck etc.

I'm digging a Japanese Telecom LP from a while back though, and have
Tikiman and Scion's live set from Mutek on constant play on the ol'
ipod. The Cobblestone Jazz set is also stunning.
i've been digging that Japanese Telecom LP this weekend tooalong
with The Other People Place LP
an
unprejudiced listen, every track but the blatant advert one sounds pretty
special to me, even two years later.

well, wouldn't say I shop there, but I have shopped there.

Thanks to everyone for the Ron Trent tips, will definitely be looking for those
now.
Isn't it funny how some tracks really try hard to capture a certain vibe,
whereas others just whisk you away the moment the needle touches the groove,
without seeming to try at all. 'Morning Warehouse'
Candi Staton - Bradock Mixes - Honest Jon's
I 2nd this call. Listening to it last night and this track just kills
it. Stomping bass and crazy space invader sound effects with that vocal
loop...this one is staying in my crate for awhile :-)
RSL - The Mast (Love Will Be Strong) - Players
Arthur Russell - The World of Arthur Russell - Soul Jazz
I'm still freaking out over that Make1,2 track.
thats just the best weird pop record ever.
I've played that over and over and over... I played it so much even my
girlfriend likes it now.
HOT!
until JT's Pagoda of Sin is my ring tone...

The new 3 Chairs 3x12 is amazing. This LP is everything I thought the Rotating
Assembly albums were going to be. I'll let Mr. Cox give you a rundown of each
track tomorrow, since the list seems to love every one of his posts;). Lets
just say that when the album shows up at my local shops, I'll
