Yesterday I was talking bollox about that Drexciya track. I meant not
'Mission To Oxciya Sandor...' on Harnessed The Storm, but 'Acquatic
Cataclysm'. Sorry. If you listen to that though, I'm sure you'll hear
what sounds very much like those samples too.

Lina actually has 2 albums - one, the first, Stranger On Earth on Elektra
that is absolutely awesome. The new one is Hidden Beach I think.
I know James Curd of Greenskeepers was familiar with her.
It's a real shame she has not received more recognition.

I think the Rob Hood EP "Underestimated" has a track that opens with a
swing bit before it goes into the usual minimal techno bidness.

post. The label I was thinking of is NOT swing city, it's g-swing.
They're related to greenskeepers in some way, but I'm pretty sure mike
Dixon has a heavy hand in the label as well. And this type of stuff is

The Greenskeepers are the obvious examples but there's also a neo-soul
singer called Lina who has that vibe and is extremely underrated in the US.
She's currently down with the Hidden Beach side of things (Jill Scott). You
can look her up on Amazon.

mind. I know of others but can't pull them outta my brain. Funny thing
is, I don't really like the style all that much. I'll see if I can find
more labels that specialize. Some of the earlier releases on the igloo
