I got my shelves at Target. They have 9 squares that will hold about 100
records each and were under $100.00

I just bought some of these at Home Depot for $12.00 each.

The shelves are fully adjustable and are stackable. They are
simple to put together, they look cool, have a lifetime warranty
(if that matters), and in my opinion are a grea
I've seen similar boxes to those MDF ones on the link in some record stores -
they were very shabby in construction and were quite expensive - I couldn't see
why people would buy them... If you want something as basic as that get some
MDF and borrow a drill and make them yourself for a few quid

I'm currently in the process of designing a new mixing console cum record
storage shelf L shaped sort of thingI want something truly custom and by
building it myself it's not going to be all that expensive (or so I hope;).
What I've been using are metal food service shelves, like these:

I buy these unfinished solid pine boxes that are made for 12" records from
a store called the Unpainted Place http://www.unpaintedplace.com/
I don't see the boxes on their website but I think they still make them -
although I might have been the only person still buying them. Some have
dividers an

i like to use wooden adjustable storage shelves. i'm talking about the ones
that allow you to adjust shelf placement. once i set my shelves in place, i
screw a 1x4 board under each to give the shelves a little extra stabiliy and
keep records from wanting to slide out the back.
you can buy fancy
I actually just had a big oak shelf custom made to get my records off the
floor. Was relatively cheap - the oak matches my house - and the store that
made it knew enough about records to know how thick to make the wood so
that it would support the weight of records and not buckle or anything.
've got (storage
for over 1500 records, loads of books, a TV, etc.)
