one of the contenders for my best techno track would have to be
heiko laux's -earth bouncing pt1. 3 or 4 other tracks on that album come close
too..

hmm well i'd say those were inspired by basic channel. perhaps nothing
more than that, if you want to get technical. they are still good for
what they are

i quite like his compositions for the mood he
evokes. his work is pretty minimal, mainly
four on da floor, with very nice chords floatin'
all over the midrange.
heiko laux is obviously a deep thinker, with the
introspect of an astute observer of the detrimental
component of society.

buy Sensefiction.. very, very good LP - like most of the stuff on
kanzleramt. hard to categorize.. mintechdubelectrohouse; just good.
groovetech has 4 clips from that album which might help you get an
idea of the sound. recommended - same with the remixes.

It would seem the mix with the Heiko Laux track isn't working. Could be
Geocities being quirky again (I've tried to move most of my audio off of
them), or it could be it's terminally screwed. Either way, I've lost the
password for that site and I can't get it back because my email address has
Geocities sux to begin with.

I got the CD Classic Open Heilo Laux Mix. He's mixing and It has one of his
tracks.
I like it. It's hard techno.

I once saw and heard a mix CD from H. Laux. I belive it was called Stand
Down. Sort of downtempo dubby techno. Very nice. But I have never seen it
anywhere again. Any info on this one?

His record
heiko laux has made some great records, ranging from dark and melodic to
hard and funky techno. here's a few recommendations:
mainplateau ep (i220) - nice floaty sparkly track on the long side, funky
dark sub-bassy stuff on the flip
dedicated to all believers ep (yoshitoshi/kanzleramt) - deep
