Using the VenueManagement tool, connect to your venue server, select the
room, click Modify, and there is an Addressing section where you can
indicate the static addresses (dynamic by default).

Hi Thomas:
Thanks very much for your help. I have another question.
How do I configure the venue to use static multicast addresses
for audio and video?
Again thank you for help.

G'day All
I hope you don't mind, but I will put my 2 cents worth here.
I actually disagree with having to add more mic's to support all of the
users, etc. We currently have 4 microphones (2 desktop and 2 ceiling
mounts mic's) which have supported up to 20 people for a single
AccessGrid meeting.
That's a good point to start with. I'll try to test that tomorrow if I can
get someone to help me in this matters from our university partners.
I'll keep you and the list informed about the results and improvements.
Thanx a lot.

You may need to increase the number of microphones
in your setup. For 6-8 people we use a minimum of 4 (crown)
table top mics.

Hi West:
The venueserver allocates multicast addresses dynamically by default. When
someone enters
the venue and will be sending video, a multicast address is allocated and used.
If no one

Hi Leslie,
How do u manage to compensate quiet and loud talkers in a room?. Maybe with
the compressor feature?.
I send u a copy of our XAP settings (the report).
It seems that sound in our rooms is more stable with AGC enabled, some of
our rooms are very noisy, we need about 10 dB of noise canc
Hi Paul,
I think we do really need the AGC settings, the audio levels are uncontrolled
without it. We avoid echo issues with them, maybe do you use the Compressor
feature?.
There is some trouble with people that speak louder or lower. I think there has
to be a right way to set it...

I'll check back with the network guy. I suspect you pointed out to the

Dear all,
We are quite in an emergency: our inauguration is about to happen (25th
february). And we still have too many audio problems. I've followed some
advices given here and given by te people from clearone and they helped us to
understand the proceedings to configure the XAP settings. H
Thank you in advance.

i've run into the same problem on a unicast network. bridging, RAT received
audio, but VIC did not receive any video. other clients connected to the
same venue could see both the bridged video and audio. i've not yet
tracked down the problem. when/if i do, i will share the results.

Thanks Chris. My problem is that I don't get any incoming streams at all.
I'll keep trying.
Thanks to all,
Monika
