I am planning to perchase a scanner. my budget would be eight to ten
thousand. I am using 64 bit with windows 7. it would be better if I
get suggestions about scanners with fine brands with best
configurationns. lookking forward to your suggestions

HP scanner is very good i'm using. its compatible with kurzweil, abby
reader and even the free software simple OCR is working well with HP.
4 years back, i bought it for just 4000. now price should be less or
same. with 8000 budget, you can purchase printer also with that.

I suggest you to buy only scanner not all in one. In printer plus
model the heitht of machine is about 7 to 8 inches and when we scan a
book we have to put hold the book carefully on int. But on only
scanner machine we can put a another book aside with it and can scann
