I have used the Braille compas. it is not very dependable for the simple
reason that the megnetic force is so weak that as we touch the needle
through our finger, it deviates from its original position.

Hi Haresh,
What do you mean by the result was very bad? Did the compass not give
accurate directions?
Remember, a compass points to magnetic north and not true north. Usually,
this is not a problem for everyday usage but you do need to account for this
if doing serious navigation. Other objects
Hi Vedprakash,
The model of the Braille compass I have locks the needle in place so there
is no displacement of the needle when I touch it.

Hi
No, a same direction it would call out differently. It behaved erratic indoors
as well outdoors.
Some of the Nokia phones like e72 has built in compass. There is no accessible
way to use it along with Talks.I understand MS has support for it. At Loadstone
they had promised support for it,
Hi,
Get hold of a magnetic compass. A smart phone will help but if you don't
have that, buy a Braille compass or build one yourself. A magnetic compass
always points north. It is easy to follow a Braille compass since the needle
always swings to the north. There are markings for other directions

Hi,
Hi,
I no longer have a good answer since no one seems to be making this product.

If you want to try searching, use terms such as directional braille
compass.

Hi,

I'm a born totally blind and Until now I was finding it difficult to
understand where do east, west, north and south lie exactly relative to my
current position. I don't know if I got it right even now -
If your standing facing the sun in the morning you are facing the east, your
left hand side is north and right hand side is south. If your mobile has a
built-in GPS system you can use loadstone or any other such software.
