So this definitely fixes my suspend time as well. Takes about 3 seconds to
suspend after patching, all I did was change the Tecra M5 parts in the patch to

I have just confirmed, in a U205 laptop:
s2disk + splash freezes on reboot in both vanilla rc7 and rc7 + take5 patch.

I tested suspend to disk again. It suspends normal. During resume this time

I forgotten to write that after failed resume, system FAN start to work fast.
Looks like processor is doing something. Magic SysReq keys don't work.

That's weird the third and first patches are identical in the suspend path. It
only fixes a bug during resume. Can you please verify the test again? Thanks.

As the second patch, this third one did not work.
About EEPROM checksum problem, I'm not sure. I guess that a hidden bug in e1000
driver suspend code has just arisen, just when
