Rob,
Does this same behavior exhibit if she logs on to another system?
Does it exhibit if you log on to her system as yourself?

Yes, it exists on different machines that she logs onto within the domain.
Yes, if I log into her machine, I can run the task manager and the batch
file.

Rob,
in your GPO, you can specify Disable Task Manager under

an option of Don't run specified Windows applications that could have been

I checked these policies on the DC's and I did not see anything set for the

Is GPResults.exe on the Resource kit?
Thanks

Excuse me for getting a bit perterbed (it's been a very frustrating day),
but didn't Microsoft originally say that MCSE 2000's wouldn't need to
upgrade? I thought that was done so that people wouldn't just skip the 2000
path and go right to .NET (2003).
Am I wrong?

Rob,
Another suggestion for troubleshooting this one, if you have the
time to spend on it: clone this user's account and play with the security
settings, profiles, etc until you figure out which setting is causing the
issues. Or create a test user from scratch and add each group

I have always looked for event id 629 in the security eventlog on each domain controller. Microsoft has a knowledge base article that lists security events and their codes,
Well, I don't see a more efficient way to estimate it then than what you are

Nope, you are right ... but at the same time NT4 cert was being
decommissioned. Now NT4 stays, and .NET requires an upgrade.

I ran it with the user is ? and a user who has no troubles running their

Any ideas?

I remember that too, but for MCSE's in 2000 that want to also be certified
in 2003 they only need to take 2 exams and not 6 exams

Title: AD Visio Mapping Tool
I am just curious if anyone has come across a mapping tool similar to the one for Exchange (ExMap.exe), that auto generates a VISIO diagram based on the information in the Exchange directory.
This would be great for AD.

I am currently using it and I like it. I think I would much rather use
something like sms though only because it's capable of doing so much
more.
Just my two cents..

Maybe you can be a bit more precise as to which of the Sunbelt tools is
going to help Gene generate a Visio drawing. I don't see anything there

John,
I've seen this behavior before, and following this Q article has
resolved it - in most cases. What seems to be the issue is that, for
some reason, there is a file or at least file synch THINKS there is a
file that needs to be synched with the original location. Because that
location is no
