DC's are located by querying DNS. Check and make sure the proper
SRV records for the two domains in question appears on the server that your IAS
is using for DNS. DNSLint may help you with this task.

ActiveX controls or Browser Extensions which are also add-ins for IE
that need to be defined for the GPO to effectively manage all the

We handle the situation the same way. I've got a script that runs a
couple nights a week and emails users starting three weeks before their
password is due to expire. It's definitely cut down on the problems
we've experienced with users who let their passwords expire (VPN or
