Yes, our guys did it, step by step, by the book. But I don't know which
book. One of them printed out a section from either the Windows Client
manual or a redbook. They wiped the drives clean and TSM put everything
back where it had originally been.

I am not quite sure I understand completely since for Domino,
each database is contained in a single .NSF file...
...unless you are talking about groupings of Domino databases
making up a logical database of some sort (like Domino.Doc)
Data Protection for Domino works at the database file
That was the purpose of the test: they restored a machine that had suffered
massive disk failure. There are other ways to move a system to new hardware.

I want to start a second server (instance) on the same computer.
I get it set up OK, but when I check the licensing it is using eval
licenses.
Can I get it to use the same license pool as the primary server or how do
I set up a secondary license pool?
The first sever is called tsm_server1 and
Client for HP-UX/PA-RISC works on Itanium though unsupported by IBM.
Regarding the server or storage agent I cannot assure you (not tested
yet).

grab nearly all the memory on a system and doesn't free it up after
