Jerome, Both the API and the JavaScript ecosystem have changed drastically since 2011. I would think you might have a better chance starting over fresh at this point using a node module to integrate with the AdWords SOAP services directly. This one looks pretty stable and recently maintained

how do I get cpc/search volume for a single keyword?

I use TargetingIdeaService.get to info for a group of related keywords, but if I already have a keyword in mind and I want to get the average cpc and search volume. So for example I want the stats for the keyword "migration", not words related to migration. I am using API version 201309. -- --
