Stolen phones are actually very useable for about 120 days on most networks. I know because I was the victim of a NIB Pixel 3 on ebay. It turned out that the phone was blacklisted on VZW because of non payment by the PO. I turned it on and activated it and was happy for about 3 months till one day

The latest post from Will Prowse he had a 280 AH LFP 12v(+) battery for ~$450 plus $135 for the BMC that met specs.  I think it is getting close to the time to start optimizing electricity purchases for the time of day and get the best price per watt. That could make a much bigger difference
