It works but it is generally ethanol and water. Same as windshield wiper

Tractor supply stores carry beet juice for ballast in tractor tires
(it's heavier than water, and has a lower freezing point). I have no
idea whether there is salt in it, but it seems like salt inside steel
wheels would be a bad idea.
