yes, particularly where you can install a base station/central hub in an
area and get data from your things for "free"... Much less costly over a
10 year timespan than putting a SIM card in a SCADA device with quad band
cellular modem, which will probably be at minimum $10/mo per active SIM in

Yepwe use allot of 900MHz FHSS and narrowband radios with just 9600bps
or less...we have used 2 .4 maxstream where several 900MHz links already
existed.

it? We provide service to our local irrigation company and they have
terrible connections, but only need a few kbps every few minutes so it
still works great. They are just sensors that monitor water flow through
canal system
There was a company that had a 2.4GHz narrow band unit that would go 7 miles.
I looked for them a few months ago and couldn’t find them.
