I finally got the source listings of the basic programs that I

No need for any of this. Open up the program in basica. Then type save
“prog.bas”,a and you get an ascii version of the program saved to disk.

You should be able to run it under dosemu, but I've never even tried to get it
up and running. So can't help you there.

maintainer ships a new config. They were letter choices. Now, they are numbers
in a completely lop sided order, but even worse, typing one of these numbers

In general, ideally, the result of any division should be an integer if the
numbers are divisible.
But I understand what it means that in many cases you will have to do a check,
which will slow down the calculations.
In this regard, I would like to have a separate verb for integer division
