Joe, TotalRecorder will do exactly what he needs, least the version I have which is V8.3PRO will. I use it all the time to record whilst away, I can have up to five streams recording on one pc at the same time but this obviously must depend largely on the capacity of the broadband available. TR

Another thing you can try ... believe it or not, it's such a simple thing that you wouldn't think it would work, but there are some extensions winamp simply won't normally recognise. Try renaming the file, changing its extension to .mp4. Again, no guarantees, but if it works, it's by far the

You could probably extract the audio from the video file with a program. I was using something to do this on my old computer, at least with avi. Mkv and DVD content. Unfortunately I cannot currently remember the name of the program. You could also download VLC player to play the .mov file. The

Seems like you could go into the winamp settings and somewhere in there is a list of the filetypes it'll handle. Just be sure that .mov is listed there. I think I'd try loading it into goldwave then saving it as mp3. Not sure, but goldwave might handle .mov files. - Original Message

Hello list: I don't know if this is doable or not; I am trying to convert a file that has a MOV extension to MP3. I've tried this with Switch, but for some reason, the file doesn't appear in Switch's listing! Is there something I am missing? I am wanting to play the file, using Winamp (this,
