Joe,
TotalRecorder will do exactly what he needs, least the version I have which
is V8.3PRO will.
I use it all the time to record whilst away, I can have up to five streams
recording on one pc at the same time but this obviously must depend largely
on the capacity of the broadband available.

What about Total Recorder? You can schedule events with that program.

Hi everyone. I'm trying to record a book narration using GoldWave but

Hello Howard and list: Unless I'm missing something, .mov is not listed in the
list of Winamp file types! I don't have Gold Wave on my computer; am probably
one of the few who have never done anything with that product...although I do

Another thing you can try ... believe it or not, it's such a simple thing
that you wouldn't think it would work, but there are some extensions winamp
simply won't normally recognise. Try renaming the file, changing its
extension to .mp4. Again, no guarantees, but if it works, it's by far the
You could probably extract the audio from the video file with a program. I was
using something to do this on my old computer, at least with avi. Mkv and DVD
content. Unfortunately I cannot currently remember the name of the program.
You could also download VLC player to play the .mov file. The
Seems like you could go into the winamp settings and somewhere in there is a
list of the filetypes it'll handle. Just be sure that .mov is listed there.
I think I'd try loading it into goldwave then saving it as mp3. Not sure,
but goldwave might handle .mov files.

Oh...okay; that tells me a little more than I knew before! So there is no way

To give more info, this file was sent to me via phone; I was able to email
it to myself...then saved the file! Hope this explains in more detail
winamp plays *.ogg files, it is a common format "vorbis" been around
about as long as *.mp3. :)
switch should convert that, even cdex will convert it, but why convert
when winamp plays those.

some reason, the file doesn't appear in Switch's listing! Is there
something I am missing? I am wanting to play the file, using Winamp (this,
