sorry, I'm not too familiar with creating symlinks and such. Could anyone
shed some light on that? Thanks. Is there a GUI way I could do it?

The info I have found so far is quite vague about how to get midi woking
with the opl3 driver.
Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom they would like to share?

My Santa Cruz works (well mostly anyway) with ALSA, although I do
note that it seems to give lower output than the SB PCI 128 I used to
have.
What *is* weird is the antics I have to go through to get some
inputs working. To get output from the "Line In" input, for example, I

There is a script included in the alsa-driver source called "alsasound" I
believe. Copy that to /etc/init.d then put in symbolic links to add it
under rc3.d and rc5.d and rc6.d . The scripts linked there are evaluated
in alphabetical order, so place it towrds the end and you'll be OK...
Hi
alsa is running also with the card (sb16 vibra isa). Alsamixer is working and
wenn I use mpg123 i starts playing (looks like it) but the is NO sound output.
