No more stupid snd_blahblah_printk depmod problems!!
I have an EPIA M9000 board, and I'm running Mandrake 9.1 (with the

I've been having the same problem as in the previous post by Greg
Akins, after installing ALSA 0.9.4 on my laptop with kernel
2.4.21-0.13mdk. My sound card is VIA VT82C686. The following command
modprobe snd-via82xx
gives me the error
/lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/sound/acore/snd.o
I've tried everything to no avail. My Asus P4PE (Intel 845 w/ AD1980)
will not produce sound on my fully patched RedHat 9 system. Judging by
the number of postings about this same subject without resolution, I am
making the assumption that I am not alone.
