there is a none open source alsa driver for it from national semi (at least i think
that's were it's from; i downloaded it from a login-only section of there site)

I installed 0.9.0rc6 and now can get some sound out of
my laptop.
The sounds I get are:
1. a constant buzzing noise.
2. A repeating loop, that sounds vaguely like music

Try it and you'll see. There is no difference between arm and other
platforms in the ALSA drive

i've installed ALSA 0.9.4 on a K 2.4.20 with sucess
i use the ENS1371 for my SB 128 PCI (wich as a CT5880 chip).
the front speaker works well via /dev/dsp
when i try to use /dev/adsp (rear speakers i think) the sound goes the front speaker ??
i don't find yet out to get rear speaker to works
