Hello dear alsa-users list
i am having prblems suddenly installing alsaplayer on gentoo.
Its version 0.99.76 and running the simple emerge command creates
alsaplayer but without gui...
observing the output i see --disable-gtk but dont know if thats the
reason and how to change it.

You must have passed --prefix=/usr/local/src/alsa/alsa-lib/
to ./configure. Don't do that. It should be looking for that file
in /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.

and the following asoundrc:

That is bizarre. I cannot reproduce it here. What distro are you
using?
Try recompiling alsa-lib and alsa-utils and pass --prefix=/usr (which
should be the default) to hgcompile.

I did it without results, but know i have put the last version of
alsa-driver, alsa-lib and alsa-utils, no for hg, from
ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/
