use the Terratec Aureon USB and a Terratec Phase26 USB. I also have
the M-Audio Quattro which is one of the rare cards that *don't* work,

THe usual device to use is called default. Try:

from 0 to 5 like this: 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 7 where 3 and 5 are missing, and
6 and 7 are illegal.
I guess, Lexicon has never read the USB spec and they definitely never
did a compliancy test. Does the card work anyways?

M-Audio USB is a save choice. Instead Edirol,
Terratec, ESI or similar cards are generally well supported.
For simple needs I would recommend the Terratec Aureon. Not expensive
at all (~50 Eurodollar), decent quality, small, many outputs, and well
tested with ALSA.

and doesn't take up much space, so you can tape it to the back of your

This gave no further problems. I used the alsa-firmeware packages
1.0.2, but for midi on the US-122 you should use current CVS.
There will be some warnings like boohbooh, you messed with SUBDIRS
but it worked afterwards.
