I've tried getting midi to work with my audigy 2, and I've got a few stumbling blocks that I've hit. I have snd_seq_oss etc loaded, and /dev/sequencer and /dev/music are there. However, sfxload says no awe synthesizer sound, and playmidi says no output device found any clues? --

If you read the man mplayer, it says if i have -channels 5 will do 5.1, and it is right, you dont count with the subwoofer, just front L,R & rear L,R & center; -channels 6 should be front L,R & rear L,R & front center & rear center that it's 6.1; subwoofer dont counts, even that, i have tested
