Hi Olivier Nicole, I read you post on yahoo. I use amanda with an DLT 8000. This drive has an LVD interface and is quite fast. The optimal block size for this tape is 64k. So after some experiments I changed the default tape block size in amanda.h from 32k to 64k. This speeds things up a lot. I n
