Hello,
I am about to check if it is possible to implement a GFS-backup scheme we used with
ArcServe:
There are 4 day-tapes day1-day4 which are used every week from Monday to
Thursday in rotation, so only the tape with the oldest data is overwritten.
There are 5 week-tapes week1-week5 which are

Thanks for pointing this out. I've made amreport not fail in this

Because nobody noticed? :-)
I've added it to LOCPATH, which puts it with /usr/local/bin and should
also work.
Thanks.

Ummm, wrong file. I was asking for a copy of the sendbackup*debug file.

OK. Just wanted to make sure you understood what you were running.

First, you do understand that the 'b' in that name means you're running

right?

Set tapedev to "/no-such-device". Amanda will not be able to access
that as a tape device and fall back to degraded (incremental only,
unless you change "reserve" in your holding disk definition) mode.

Hello
i got the same problem, dumps running fine, but mail reports empty.
I found out that refering to some .ps file in the tape def of amanda.conf leeds
to this behaviour, if the examples dir with the .ps template is not found.
I run the amreport on a log file, the output was showing the way:
