Geoff and others,
I will make a decision, hopefully this weekend, on the fate of for
sale ads on the list. I really would hate to ban them, however the
rules that have been posted over and over, and seem to be getting
pushed aside as if they don't matter. The archives do not need to be

Paul, maybe the sellers can upload the for sale lists on the web, and then
announce the stuff on our AM Reflector with a link. The link takes you to
the for sale items and a hyperlinked email address of the seller. This makes

I am shortly going to have a bunch of tubes for sale. I would very much
like to post them on this reflector.
I think it would help if when you hit the REPLY TO SENDER, it went to the
person being replied to, not the reflector. Thank you. I get a lot of
info from this reflector.
73,
The responders should look at the e-mail address of the sender, and just
type it in the To box. Works on IE.

Your absolutely correct. I can't remember how many times you've repeated
this same request on this reflector and still the same things happen. The
AM Forum web site has an excellent section for sale and want items.
Pictures can be posted, links can be added, and far more versatile then

Thanks Pete! The AM Forum For Sale and Wanted forums are an excellent
place for these listings. I suggested this before and surprised that
more people don't use it for that purpose.
There is no charge or fees to become a member of the amfone.net
forums, and as Pete said, if you only want to
Please lighten up and put these things in perspective! All the complaining
creates more clutter than the original offense. We all try to comply with
the rules, but it isn't a major deal to hit delete button for unwanted traffic.

Jack I think it is just a bit more than unwanted traffic on your computer.
Each message is archived for history which is stored on a disk at the
server. What I think Brian is saying that he just archives everything
without editing out the replies saying I want this or that. And I don't
blame

personally like seeing the for sale ads, but can understand why Brian
would not under the present circumstances. Please don't hesitate

In closing; many years ago, and you should remember this Jack; most of

Since it was my for-sale posting which touched this off, I guess I should
say something. What I want to say is that I support whatever the list
members and list admin want to do. I have no problem with a ban for-sale

Thanks for the reminder and patience, Brian. It seems to me the few
rules the list asks of us are a small price to pay for the service you
guys provide. Hell, I just appreciate you guys putting up with me!
Keep up the great work!
