Hi!
The hamfest in Yuma, Arizona, started out very well yesterday afternoon.
Many more people here compared to the Fridays of the past two hamfests.
Thanks to the stations who called WD9EWK on two passes yesterday, on AO27
and FO29.
This hamfest also has a focus on emergency preparedness,
Nick,
One of the current problems with using SATPC32 is that since the Flex does
not support the TS-2000 satellite mode, the uplink and downlink are assigned
wrong VFO. This is problem since it tries to transmit on RX2. The
SATPC32ISS does work, since it does not use the satellite mode. Until

AO-7 is in Mode A every other day. Check oscar.dcarr.org for the current

Hi Joe
For mode A, AO-7 is our baby. See http://www.planetemily.com/ao7/ao7log.php
it switches between mldes A B every 24 hours about 2325Z. Check the on line
log. AO7 has a fascinating history it's available at the aforementioned web
site. See you there.

You have to look at the pattern and extrapolate. As Bob pointed out,
currently it switches around 2330Z every day.

There is only one I can find on the app store called Satellite Tracker and
its very very basic because all the bells and whistles are in the Plus
version which costs like $2. Pretty much all the decent satellite tracking
apps for the iPhone/iTouch/iPad cost money ranging from $2 - $25.

It doesn't get simpler than that, but it can get harder when the old

As Drew mentioned, the best site for AO-7 status (IMHO) is

I don't use Orbitron, but there is something a little odd here. Celestrak
gets the Keps from Spacetrac, and according to the Orbitron site, they get
theirs from Celestrak and another site which seems to get at least some of
theirs from the same place. I am not saying people aren't seeing

inexpensive at $25. As a matter of fact, of the 150+ apps I have on my iPod

I should have been more specific. I run SatPc32 in two computers. The one
that runs LVB has ISS about 40 min behind the other computer. All other
satellites are right on. I have up dated the keps on both computers.
Confused??
