Why couldn't AMSAT conduct some type of OO program? The offending operators
get a courtesy post card. AO-51 is a nightmare. Sometimes you hear the same
ops on each pass calling one another. If you want a decent qso, go on AO-7 etc
and free up some AO-51 downlinks.

run 5 or more contacts and monopolize the bird too.

The more I read the BB, it seems like some have endorsed the idea that
getting grids are like an HF contest. I need to get them all today.
Unfortunately, contesting has come to the birds in an indirect way. Get a
grid and allow someone else the opportunity to get one.

I'm not so sure it's an anti-wide rant. It is a discussion on a possible
way to get more efficient use from the limited bandwidth and power on the
bird. I love playing with RTTY on HF and packet on VHF, but when you head
down to 14.070 and see all the stations on the sliver of band qso'
