degree days base 0 C. Is there a degree day figure to determine ascospore
maturity at bud break? At what base and beginning when? It would nice to
know this for that first crack of green tissue stage. Are ascospores mature
then or not being the big question.

I see what you mean about doing this after dark. What would the neighbours
think.
Accidently running into them with the mower and taking some bark off one
side works too if I recall.
