Wow! I had something looked like that once, myself. But I got up the

See which one of the 3 attachments you like the "looks of" best. ;-)

Ron,
I guess I missed the fix to the F2-Save problem. Could you or someone point
me to the fix?
I downloaded a file last night and it went into the ether, so I fired up
1.70R3 in order to down load it.

Clarence,
I did what Ron Clarke said; looked for a file with a wierd name in the
default download directory (I:\ara171\download\) on my computer and found it
empty, with only a zero length file named, "!".
I went to Arachne.cfg, and found that the default download path was renamed,

I did that - no mouse this time.
I SENT it to c:\temp
Hi L.D.,
It sounds like a good idea to me. However, it may be doing
this already but too fast for us to read. The trick may not be to
pass back the messages but to make them legible without slowing down
Arachne.

While you guyz are trying to get Arachne to save files like a good
little piece of software, will you SERIOUSLY consider doing something
else I've been asking for next to forever:
ALLOW ARACHNE TO PASS BACK DOS ERROR MESSAGES
I hit F2, I want to save a file somewhere other than \download.

Ron,
Confirmed.
I just tried saving my log-on page to the root directory of the drive Arachne
is on: I:\911test.htm, and it went off into the ether. Not anywhere on my HD
or RAM drive. Not even in Arachne\download. Of course, I don't have a
directory named Arachne; it is named ARA171.

Hi Folks, Glenn, Clarence,
F2 save.
Have you tried saving a file to any, repeat ANY, directory except the
set path of "arachne\download\" ?
All of my attempts have ended in the "download" directory and none in
the targetted directory.
