Hmm. I still don't see a bug report on flyspray.
By the way. The process you just listed out is what is commonly known as
'user feedback'.

I had a similar problem when I updated my computer after about 4 weeks.
GRUB would try to load the kernel and fail with a "No setup signature
found" error message. I've basically reverted to kernel26-2.6.22

Thank you for everything. I got lucky with linux in the sense that I
didn't have a long stint till the time I found Arch. Its been on my
computer since 2004 and in a year all my family started using it.
Thank you for a great distribution, Judd.

Hey,
The current hplip package in the repositories is 1.7.4a, while the latest
package is 2.7.7.
I am trying to build and install a 2.7.7 package using the PKGBUILD and
hplip file from the package in the current repository. While building the
package goes without any problems, the package itsel
I agree, the rolling-release system of Arch is depicted much better with
the MM format.

Isn't that the Chinese word for man?
The word "ren"?
It could be the Japanese word too, I just recognise it since I'm
learning Mandarin atm.

PS - To second Gan Lu, its great to have a translation prog, this is
going to help me a lot, I think :). Thanks.

I'm just throwing a thought that came up here; how about a solved
issues thingy in the forums? We all know of some issue/question or the
other that repeatedly crops up regarding installation or setting a
config file or whatever. The forum will just move those threads down out
of site.
Sure,
needs to be done in some way. I don't see why people
are automatically trying to bolt this onto pacman...

I agree.
Pacman is a good package management system as it is. It is not
logical to extend the uses of pacman away from it's primary job, since
this will only increase it's size and features through time. Bloateritis
should be nipped in the bud; prevention is better than cure.

You will have to download the files (or the tarball, whichever you
prefer) into a directory of your choice and then run makepkg. The
unsupported packages are not in the community repo.

I think this is a good idea. Having seperate info packages would be
nice. We could just name them 'info-foobar.pkg.tar.gz', like how the
perl modules are named currently. Of course, it would be useful probably
only for devs or packagers or something (I think). I know I don't have a

I'm trying to get mplayer to play an audio cd of mine, but it

I agree, it would be a nice thing to have all the drivers on the

different hardware(unless, of course, this would increase the size of
