Hi Mark,
As mentioned, version 8.0.00 does introduce some functionality regarding
incoming emails.
For versions pre 8.0.00 I have an integration package available to do this
with the ability to create Incidents from incoming emails. I have even had

David,
I can send you that filter. You would need to define the number and who should
be notified.

Thanks, Misi, didn't know that! Got it, ran it.
And thanks for the "Missing Pieces Software" link, John - the program seems
local, though at the moment I guess I need to stick with log analysis since I
have the logs already & want to avoid running something on our server.

Nothing is there in 7.6.04 unless you build it; what I built from old RemMail
forms/filters for 7.0 is still working in 7.6.04 – strictly to add a Worklog
entry to an existing Incident.
ITSM 8.0 finally adds incident creation from incoming (although not as

Marcelo,
What you are attempting should not behave differently in 7.6.04 than in earlier
releases. The key to the
challenge is likely what others have pointed out - that there are more fields
that have permission (like
60900) for row level access that you will need to manage as well.

Hi All,
In ITSM 7.6.04, in the Incident I can select Functions > Email System and send
out a free test email. After send a record of the email is displayed in Work

Frank,
I am a bit confused here.
Whether the search is case sensitive or case insensitive is either a DB setting
(in
the case of Sybase or SQL Server) or a config option you give us to set some
options in the DB (Oracle and there are all kinds of qualifications on the case
insensitivity there).
It was more sarcasm than anything. You can't get or shouldn't get Developer
Studio unless you already own Remedy and or have a support ID or have purchased
the application or your client or company has given you access. I should have
turned on the Sarcasm modifier!

The reason I used an escalation was for the very reason you mentioned. Users
normally call the help desk will all issues (including HR). If the help desk
enters a ticket and assigns it to the HR Group, they will get an error after
submit because they no longer have permissions to the ticket. Not
Remedy Developer Studio is not a product sold separately from AR System.
You cannot purchase just Developer Studio. Developer Studio is a component
that comes as part of a BMC Remedy AR System purchase.
It does not "come with a Remedy Application license". Not exactly sure what

Marcelo,
You need to validate what is actually stored in field 112. Why are you

Hi all:
I have a question about 32bit v. 64bit OS in a 3-tier architecture for ARS

Our current PRD environment is an ARS 7.6.04 SP2 on a Win2003Server 32bit
