In version 8.0 and above in linux TCMalloc is the default one. During install the installer also installing TCMalloc libraries and configuring armonitor to start arserverd with TCMalloc preloaded. I have read several online articles only good things about TCMalloc. __

Not really. It sank - because it filled with water. (water pumps were not appropriate size) Because the welds were not strong enough. (needed better welding technology) Which were used instead of double walls. (invented later) But the rudder was too small to miss the iceberg, couldn't turn fast
