Hi List,
Can someone please assist me to understand what is the procedure of replicating
BMC Analytics database from ITSM Database.
On my current project, Datbases for both are same but on different instances.
Data is not same on both instances, so it seems both databases are not in sync.

Hi All,
My name is Paul Batchelor, I'm on of the support managers for Remedy within
BMC. First of all, apologies for those of you who have tried to use chat and
have not been able to connect with a technical support analyst.
I've already followed up with our management team to ensure we have

Trying to search arslist but it keeps timing out.

Hope everyone is well
We are in the process of testing a upgrade from 7.5 patch 003 to version 8
patch 002. On the old version of Remedy, we had a simple vendor form that
connected to our AD server and returned the AD details of our users.
On our test server, we have setup version 8

Hi Neha:
In order to sychronize, you will either have to:
(a) Use the underlying database replication services to replicate your active database to your "Analytics" database (probably the easiest)
(b) Use tools like "RRRChive" to move data from one database to another. You only have to movea

Nice to see that BMC trolls this list. Many thanks Paul.

Brad,
One thing you may be experiencing is with the change from C LDAP plugin to
Java LDAP Plugin, one thing you could try is to disable the Java one,
re-implement the C one, and see if the problem goes away...if it does,
obviously log a bug on the Java version with BMC. If the problem remains,

You may want to put $Start Date$ into an Int field before you do the

Turns out it is a change with SP5 and how the Mid Tier handles the Global
fields from now on. Either we force Flash on all our users or we change
our code.
We've decided to change our code.

What? Global field now require Flash? I thought BMC was moving away from
the need for Flash not increasing it. I hope there a misunderstanding
somewhere along the lines.

That sounds like a major oops in SP5 as I think that conflicts with what Doug

Pascale, I don't remember what browser you said you were using. Also are you
using ITSM or is this all custom? If it is custom, did you turn off Flash in
Mid-Tier?

Thad,
You've been fortunate. I always try the chat and I see the window where it
shows I'm in queue and that I'm waiting for a rep to join. After about 5
minutes, I get a message that says so one is avail and that I should just
submit a ticket. I'll see if it improves in the future.

Why are they using Flash cookies instead of HTML5 local storage? The use
of Flash in Mid Tier does little to improve performance, which is one of
the biggest complaints.
