All other
others ... it
doesn't make any difference
So... just looking for hindsight - does anyone have opinions on if one way
is better than another
Environment is single tenant and no plans to change that

Hi Danny -
What a clever idea! In all my years of working with patches ... and trying
to figure out the differences have never thought of that - VERY CLEVER

One workflow area that .. might not work anymore ... in one of the older
versions you could execute Macros via workflow - that was removed ... in
one version or another (maybe this is REALLY old like v3)

with with v2.0 product I would definately
recommend using the v7.6 product since there are alot of improvements ...
but time will tell since we are just doing our initial rounds of testing on
the upgraded system in our test environment

Hi Mark
I think this is discussed in the BMC Atrium documentation - it was covered
as part of the Atrium 7.5 What's New course ... so I think that is where
you could probably find more info regarding this

Hi Richard
Might be too obvious - but do you have a fixed license on production?

Hi All
A while ago there was a discussing regarding the ITSM 7 Patch 009
regarding some unusual menu/permission issues (something regarding the
cache on the system) - could someone send me the email thread on that?

BMC also has a handy tool that calculates the permissions for you based on
the type of work your users will need to do ... maybe someone on the list
knows where it is available for download? (I don't remember where I got it
at... maybe a training class?)

Thanks Clint - I would be very interested (and assume a few other folks on
the list would be too) to hear how this effort goes and if it really does
resolve the 9093 errors.
I guess for now - we'll proceed with using restricted read and a few work
arounds
