The United States, widely held to be the greatest country in the world
by its inhabitants, holds the record for the least political
involvement and voter turnout of all democratic nations. One might
think that possessing so shabby a record, this nation might endeavor
to educate its citizenry
Where an individual votes is and should not be the issue.
Everyone connected to the City (renters, property owners, people who
work here) can and should contribute without the issue of voter

I agree wholeheartedly with you that voting in Asbury Park is NOT the
primary issue. When I owned a home in Ocean Grove, I overlooked the
southern portion of Asbury for nine years and loved and lamented
it. In all that time, I voted in Manhattan - not the Grove, not

Your response raises several issues. Are you suggesting that one who
owns property and pays taxes to AP but is not registered to vote
here has no right to say anything about what is going on?
While voting in AP would appear on the surface to provide the
strongest opportunity to voice one's
everyone has a right to an opinion- after all - all those tax
dollars from the state and fed government have been dumped in for a
zillion years.
Plus, there are those who have invested in buildings in AP for one
reason or another- and don't want to see their investment(s)
