That is an excellent example of how a picture tells a story like
words never could. Excellent piece journalistic photography. Leaves
one devastated.
Thanks for sharing Santanu.

Mukul-da, How to concentration camps fit in your vision of reform? World they be like Auswtiz of the Nazi camps for Jews etc? And why do you think that building hydel power dams will not help the prevention of rain water running down to see -as proposed by World Bank and others? All
Concentration Camps in a sovereign Assam?
I think I get the picture :-)

Dear Santanu,
Are you the Tall Handsome 'Chilaray type' ex -Amtron Engineer of 1987?
You feel for the hapless peasant !
We all feel for him
That's all?
Dont you foresee the specter of famine in Oxom in a few months?
How about sparing a thought for the subsequent 10 -100 -1000-1 generations
That, Santanu is really a sad photo. Situations like these makes us
all wonder where the GOA's and the GOI 's priorities lie. This drought
in Assam was not a surprise to the GOA. It seems they were suddenly
woken up when things have gone from bad to worse.

The picture caught my eye.
