Tom,
0.6.8 is only a security fix. No new features were added. You'll need
to move to the 0.7 images to get the realtek driver in the net5501 image.
I've been building 0.7 images and have the latest builds available at
http://mirror.astlinux.org/beta-firmware
There should be no major issues
I'd favour "monotonous litany", but yes, point taken. Again.

Did the 8139too driver make it into the net5501 build of 0.6.8, and,
if so, can I crossgrade from geni586 safely?
Thanks

The Asterisk-gui is more usable in 0.7. I uploaded both upgrade images
and new install images from the latest 0.7 svn and placed them here:
http://mirror.astlinux.org/beta-firmware
These should be safe to use in most circumstances. We really need more
people to test though to verify things su
Oliver,
Can you login to your astlinux box at look to see if you have a
/var/tmp/asterisk-gui directory please? If you do not have this directory
please create an empty directory of that name and try again and report back.
Thanks,
David

Hi all,
I have upgraded my old net48xx from 0.6.7 to 0.6.8
Now, going to asterisk-gui, after entering User and password, the GUI
stay locked with a small popup saying "Checking write permission for
gui folder".
I no more have access to asterisk-gui, seems to be a loop somewhere.
Best,
Olivi
