@24 I have used Jaws before for years back when I was using windows 8.1 it was not bad then. just once I got to windows 10 that is when I had to make the switch to NVDA as Jaws was being too slow on the laptop I had it on at the time

it used to let you do a custom install so you could just get the components you wanted. Now it just installs every component whether you want it or not.If possible, I'd recommend bringing up your concerns about JAWS on the FS Open Line calls

I won't comment @9.@10/11, this is because JAWS, in fact is very modular. YUou don't need the OCR? Uninstall the ocr module. You don't need the graphic driver? Fine with them, and the list goes on.

@OP, sadly this is one of my reasons for generally steering clear of JAWS. They implemented support for Scintilla a few versions ago but sometimes JAWS doesn't hook properly or whatever it does to get access, and things like Notepad++ randomly
