Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
@14, I agree. I used to own a pair of XM3's last year and wound up selling them. I honestly am considering sending these back and just getting a pair of XM3's for a cheaper price.

Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
That seems to be the general consensus from the pages and channels I visit. If you already have the XM3s, it doesn't seem to be worth the upgrade for the additions unless your current one actually breaks from what I've read. S
Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
I received the XM4's a few days ago. After testing them out here and there, I can honestly say they aren't worth the upgrade, though I really wanted them to be something to write home about. The ANC and phone-call quality ar
Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
For the folks who have experienced or regularly use the XM3's, the Speak to Chat feature seems to be the only major noticeable upgrade. I needed the fast cash from selling my XM3's last year, so I felt more compeled to get
Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
The xm3's have one mic on each side to help with noise cancelation, the xm4's say 5 mics in total. Speak to chat is a cool feature which I'm guessing can be toggled, but we'll see about the rest.

Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
Just judging from a simple Google search that turned up reviews from top tech dogs, you're right. There doesn't seem to be any improvement despite a widespread claim that the headphones were more energy-efficient, whic
Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
I don't even think the battery life is all that much improved. It's currently over thirty hours on a single charge, which is pretty good IMO. What do the XM4 claim?

Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
I'm more interested in battery life and the speak to chat feature, personally. There most likely won't be a noticeable difference in sound or active-noise canceling, so upgrading when you already have the XM3's isn
Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
From what I saw, there is only marginal improvement with the WH1000XM4 over their predecessor. As in, if you've already got the XM3, you are gaining only a very little bit for three hundred and fifty bucks. I just got the xm3
Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
@4, story of my life. I'm weak and give into tech releases like this. Plus, if it's a bust, I can always send them back. But, come on, that probably won't happen. @5, I vaguely remember some dropouts when I had my las

I'm in the same boat as @assault_freak. I really shouldn't, but I kind of very much want to.I'm very satisfied with my WF-1000xm3 and WH-1000XM3, and those are already two amazing products, in my opinion, aside from the
Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
I really don't need to be spending any more money this month.. but now I'm super tempted! Mighthave to wait for Christmas... I love both my wh1000xm3's and wf1000xm3's.

Re: Sony WH1000XM4 are coming as early as August 14th
I went ahead and placed an order through Best Buy, so hopefully I'll have a pair here in the next two weeks. I'll most likely change the topic to a review and revise post 1 to contain my review.
