Actually, I have it on pretty good authority (an MD), and there is

Hi John,
welcome to the forum! It sounds like you've done precisely right thing
- the only isynchronous digital link in your system is that short I2S
cable, and you're clocking from the DAC which should result in just
about the lowest jitter system possible. Personally it's never been

I have two sources: a SB a dcs Verdi.
For CD replay these feed a dcs Elgar+ via a dcs Purcell upsampler.
The whole replay chain is synch'ed via a dcs Verona clock

I wanted to end this thread by pointing out a solution that may or may
not work with your system if you have been suffering from the same
problems. This little fix has been marvelous for me! It has brought

Very cool!
What are you doing for volume control? (To me, once of the nice things
about SB is the convenience of a volume control from the one remote).
Have you thought about taking off the PCM1748's mode control lines to

the edges of my ears were raw. The Sennheisers are like like wearing
fluffy bunny clouds on your head, and they sound amazing. I use them

A tiny thing about the sennheisers, but a big one for me:
The wires actually plug into the cans. The wires are quite long, so
you'll probly step/trip over them, roll over them with your chair,
whatever. If your walking with the phones on and you step on the cord,
they just unplug from the
I have been thinking of getting a 1Tb external Lacie drive. Lacie seem
to be the only people making 1Tb external hard drives.
Do I have any other options other than Lacie for 1Tb?
thanks
