Not if you transcode to a lossless format like FLAC or WAV.
You won't be able to FF or REW in the track though.

Yes - this format is transcoded server-side to a format the Transporter
can handle directly (such as FLAC). If you want to try it out with
your files, download the slimserver software and also install the
softsqueeze software emulator that comes with it. You'll be able to
test out how it works (t

I've done some A/B tests with the SB3 DAC (analogue out) vs digital out
to the NAD DAC in my NAD
but i doubt they will make it anytime soon. They risk incurring the
wrath of those folks who forked out cash early.

Mackie and M-Audio powered monitors.
Go to any "pro-audio" shop, most Guitar stores.

How about the dynaudio bm5a? They're about $1k here, so should be pretty

If you come to the audiophile forum, expect a little insanity ;)
What is lifestyle? Why not get a pair of old Quad ESLs (£400 on ebay)
and a little valve amp? Or even a Sonic Impact T-amp while you save
up?
For a bit more sanity, what about a pair of LS3/5As? Small and lovely,

Hi,
Not quite a true audiophile question but here goes. As info I'm based
in the UK.

room it is pretty sonically challenged. I have a Squeezebox 3 to go

Me too. I use the LM317 which needs a 3 volt drop to operate.
