upgraded the DAC-X a couple of times to fix issues with compatibility

The DAC-X sounds very good

A non-oversampling DAC (digital to analogue converter) is a DAC that
converts the digital signal to an analogue one, without using any
'fancy' digital signal processing. It's a fairly old technology, but
many people feel that the gains from newer technology DACs are
outweighed by the side

I would back off buying any new gear until you track down the source of
the sibilance (the sound) - it's usually down to a peak in response
around 5-10KHz.
One thing you could try is
How new are your speakers? They'll probably take a couple of hundred
hours playing before they settle down.
Otherwise I go with what's already been said. Try the SB3 in a system
you like and/or a CDP you like in your system - to see if you can
pinpoint whether it's the problem or not.

I think it looks like it could be a pretty cool product. The real power
of it is in the easy syncing built in. I do have a couple of questions

1. Can you have video out the HDMI at the same time as audio out the

But when you calm down, is it really good value? What does it do that a

Try to isolate the point at which the sibilance is occuring:

2) Then connect the SB to the amp (speaker cables disconnected) listen
